In 2018, the monument was up for adoption under the “Adopt a Heritage” project initiated by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India to involve private institutes and corporates to take up the cause of preserving and restoring the known and lesser known heritage sites. They all have the common intent of enhancing these sites, preserving our national heritage and promoting tourism in India.

The monument has been adopted by the travel conglomerate ‘Bird Group’ – under Bird Heritage Foundation to provide basic and advanced amenities at the site in order to ensure an unforgettable experience for visitors. This move would ensure that the monument is preserved for a longer period and is explored by Indian and foreign tourists alike.
